I’m a stay-at-home mom, artist, and lifelong thrifter with a passion for creating one-of-a-kind clothing for little ones.

This business was inspired by the two people who mean the most to me-my children. Ruthie is my daughter, and Jay is my son’s middle name. Jay also carries a special family connection – it was the nickname of my grandmother, Mama Katie.

While talking with my aunt one day, I learned that Mama Katie used to customize all of her husband’s clothing by hand. That simple conversation inspired me to combine my love of art, thrifting, and creating into something meaningful.

After studying art in college, I found my way back to hand-carving stamps. Every design begins as one of my original illustrations before being carefully carved, hand printed, and transformed into a one-of-a-kind piece.

As a mom, I was always searching for children’s clothing that reflected my style but could never quite find what I was looking for. Creating my own designs became a way to give beautiful secondhand clothing a new life while making something truly unique for little adventurers.
